Sumyia Akter

Ms. Sumyia Akter is a lecturer at the College of Tourism and Hospitality Management. She completed her bachelor’s in tourism and hospitality management from IUBAT. She is currently pursuing her MBA at BRAC University. Before joining IUBAT, she worked at Hotel Sarina Dhaka as a human resources coordinator. During her time at Hotel Sarina, she was involved with the recruitment process, orientation program, training, leave management, payroll, foreign employee documentation, etc.
Ms. Akter has been awarded the Founder Moyan Gold Medal for scoring a CGPA of 4.00/4.00 in her bachelor's program.
