Dr. Mohammad Badruddoza Talukder is an Associate Professor and Chairman of the College of Tourism and Hospitality Management (CTHM) at the International University of Business Agriculture and Technology (IUBAT), Dhaka, Bangladesh. He holds a Ph.D. in Hotel Management from Lovely Professional University, India, and has been engaged in tourism and hospitality education, research, and academic leadership since 2008.
Recognized among the Top 2% of Scientists in the World, he has published 222 scholarly works, including 210 Scopus-indexed publications, covering research papers, books, book chapters, review papers, and conference contributions, as of 21 September 2026. His research interests include Artificial Intelligence (AI) in tourism, the Internet of Things (IoT) in tourism, Blockchain in tourism and hospitality, smart tourism and hybrid hospitality, digital transformation in tourism and hospitality, sustainable tourism and hospitality, hospitality innovation, and technology-enabled tourism service development.
He has authored and edited scholarly books with leading international publishers, including Springer, Emerald Publishing, Taylor & Francis, CRC Press, Routledge, IGI Global, CABI, Cambridge Scholars Publishing, Bentham Science, and others. Dr. Talukder has extensive professional experience in both academia and the hospitality industry, including managerial positions in hotel food and beverage operations. He actively contributes to the international academic community as a Distinguished Speaker, Keynote Speaker, Session Chair, Resource Person, Reviewer, Technical Committee Member, and International Research Evaluator.
He has served as an International External Evaluator for the CHORAL Programme, coordinated by the Université de Pau et des Pays de l’Adour, France, under the European Union's Horizon Europe Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA), where he evaluated 15 PhD research applications. Through teaching, research, academic leadership, and international engagement, he contributes to the advancement of innovative, sustainable, and technology-enabled tourism and hospitality education and practice.

Dr. Mohammad Badruddoza Talukder is actively engaged in a wide range of academic, professional, research, and international scholarly activities in tourism and hospitality. In addition to his responsibilities as Associate Professor and Chairman of the College of Tourism and Hospitality Management (CTHM) at IUBAT, he contributes to academic development through teaching, research supervision, curriculum-related activities, faculty development, professional training, and institutional leadership. His current academic and professional interests particularly emphasize AI-enabled tourism and hospitality, smart tourism, digital transformation, sustainable tourism, emerging hospitality technologies, service innovation, tourism education, and technology-driven destination development. Through these activities, he contributes to the development of contemporary tourism and hospitality education, research, professional practice, and international academic collaboration.
